Naming Tradition

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. This is my second time writing on this blog and i'd like to talk about name (again), but in different topic. It seems that most people in this world have many different names. There's a tradition for parents giving their child's name depends on where they're living, their culture, their family naming tradition and so on. Eventhough they live in the same country, the tradition of giving a name in some area are different.  For example, in my country, indonesia. Some regions in indonesia have their own naming tradition. Sundanese's naming tradition is unalike with bataknese or balinese's naming tradition. I always got curious why some of sundanese tends to give their child repeated names. For example like Nina Marlina, Yadi Mulyadi, Linda Melinda, Rosita Sinta. I have no problem with it seriously. Do People Like Their Names?

Hello! This is my very first blog on here. Should i introduce my self? Absolutely yes, because this is my blog hehe. My name is Annisa Jasmin. My friends call me Jasmin, Jas, Min, Je, Nisa, Icha, and so many. I did hate my name especially my first name because i found it everywhere in this country. I've always met another Annisa in my life and i feel awkward whenever i have to introduce my name when i'm in the same class with this new Annisa. Because i need to look up for another nickname just to identify me with another Annisa. That's why i got so many nick names in life. I wondered why do my parents gave me Annisa Jasmin as my name.  Now, let me tell you the meaning of my name. Most people in my country probably have known the meaning of Annisa as a name because it's a common name in Indonesia. In Arabic, Annisa means woman. Jasmin itself in English means jasmine, a flower.
