Naming Tradition

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. This is my second time writing on this blog and i'd like to talk about name (again), but in different topic.

It seems that most people in this world have many different names. There's a tradition for parents giving their child's name depends on where they're living, their culture, their family naming tradition and so on. Eventhough they live in the same country, the tradition of giving a name in some area are different.

For example, in my country, indonesia. Some regions in indonesia have their own naming tradition. Sundanese's naming tradition is unalike with bataknese or balinese's naming tradition.

I always got curious why some of sundanese tends to give their child repeated names. For example like Nina Marlina, Yadi Mulyadi, Linda Melinda, Rosita Sinta. I have no problem with it seriously. To be honest, it's kinda interesting for me because that kind of names have similar rhyming words. I don't mean to generalize that people who have repeated names are sundanese, but lots of indonesian's first impressions predicted them as sundanese. Some sundanese believe that giving their child repeated names would give people whose those names gain the meaning of their names continuously, it's like a cycle that has no ending. For example, Dedi Mulyadi's parents hope that Dedi will be a man who has good behavior (it comes from word Mulyadi that means berakhlak mulia in indonesian language) until he die. Others assumed that it's just to make people easier calling their names or it's part of their inheritance.

As what ive said before, i don't mean to judge people who have repeated names are sundanese or all sundanese people must be have repeated names because i believe that Hannah Montana isn't sundanese. So, please, correct me if im wrong. Thanks for reading. See you!

It's a book by John Gray. Talking about what makes women and men have differences. I find it interesting to be honest though i haven't finished the book. Let's talk about it a little! When women have to deal with their problems, they feel better to talk about their problems instead of finding solutions. Meanwhile men feel better to looking up for solutions. Most of them prefer to be silent than talking or sharing it to other people. I sometimes find it hard for myself to keep these problems. I feel like world needs to know about my problems. It's actually not a good way, i realized that. I'm trying to erase this habit. It's billion percent would be better to find a solut...
